Marion Walter "Ray" Ray, Sr., 75 of Nederland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Ray was born August 28, 1937 in Andrews, South Carolina to Jessie James Ray and Nellie Floyd Ray. He was an area resident for 44 years and a retired ship fitter from TDI Halter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Ray and grandson, Dylan Graham. Survivors include his four daughters, Cristy Graham of Fort Worth, Wanda Travis and husband Gary of Nederland, Melissa Adair and husband Danny of Paradise, Tiffany Burns of Vidor; one son, Marion Walter Ray, Jr. and wife Melissa of Nederland; three sisters, Janelle Gamble, Teresa Ray and Cynthia Ard and husband Laurie all of Andrews, SC; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at New Covenant Church in Port Acres with Reverend Charles Wolfe officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
