Marjorie Anita Parks

Anita Parks, 84, of Port Neches, Texas passed away February 26, 2011 at Promise Hospital in Nederland, Texas. She was born February 3, 1927 in Ammite, Louisiana to the late William Jennings Brian and Henrietta Lutrich Young. She worked as the office assistant for the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce.She is survived by her son, Dwain Porterfield and wife Linda daughter Susan Thibodeaux 5 grandchildren, Beckey Relf, Michael Porterfield, Brian Thibodeaux, Randa Burden, and Chasity Thibodeaux 4 greatgrandchildren sisterinlaw, Maxine Young, 3 nieces, Jinny, Gwen, and Lois Ann 4 nephews, Craig, Dwight, Mike, and Pat 2 very close friends and caregivers, Sylvia Harrell and Reggie Bailey, both were ever faithful and supportive. She is preceded in death by her parents husbands, J.K. Porterfield and George Parks sister, Lynell and brother, Thomas.Anita loved gardening, flowers, especially roses and her dogs.Cremation services are under the ion of Melancon39s Funeral Home.
