Obituary

 Mark Eugene Nolen passed away on May 9, 2024, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, at the age of 60. Mark was born on June 17, 1963, in Port Arthur, Texas to Gwendolyn and Francis Nolen.

Mark was known for his strong Christian faith and unwavering beliefs. He was a gentle soul who always put others' needs before his own, acting as a protector to those around him. Mark's loyalty to his family and friends was unmatched, and he will be remembered for his hardworking nature and dedication to his craft.

Mark is survived by his father, Francis "Buddy" Nolen and stepmother Vera Nolen of Corpus Christi, Texas; his brother, Greg Nolen and wife Susan of Harvest, Alabama; sister, Julie Wagstaff and husband Gene of Gilmer, Texas; nieces, Brittny “Britt” Bevil-Aye and husband John; and Christina Bevil; his girlfriend, Linda Rodriguez and her children Robert and Rubi of Port Neches, Texas; as well as his cherished furbaby, Slinky.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Marie Champagne; grandparents, Eunice Ward, Frank Ward, Benny Tanner, Oren Nolen, Mary Nolen, Georgette Day and Alcie Day.

Mark's legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with this remarkable man.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont for the love and care they provided Mark during his time with them.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Mark's Life to begin at 10:30 a.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland.
