Mark A. Rouly, 69, of Port Acres, Texas passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 19, 1953 to the late Orphe Paul Rouly and Marie Desormeaux Rouly.

Mark was an excellent cook and he enjoyed fishing. He loved listening and dancing to Cajun music, playing the guitar, bass, and Cajun accordion. Mark was a master craftsman when it came to wood working and he could build pretty much anything. Mark had a strong work ethic. He worked for a span of more than 50 years at area shipyards and construction sites. For the last 30 years of his career, Mark worked for the Port Arthur Independent School District as he the Regulatory Compliance Manager where he was able to retire.

Those left behind to cherish Mark’s memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa Rouly; his son, Alex Rouly and his wife, Callie; his son, Jesse and his girlfriend, Hailey; and his sweet granddaughter, Izzy.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucas and Ozite Desormeaux; his parents, Ophre and Marie Rouly; his father-in-law, Will Agy; and several loving Aunts and Uncles.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Mark Rouly will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
