Went fishing once with my father in law, Jerry Westbrook, Marshall, Marty and my brother, out of Sabine Pass. The only time we'd had ever been ocean fishing. He and Marty laughed and laughed at us for trying to fish like we would for bass. We stayed out overnight and had a great time catching lots of Red Snapper. Marshall filet them all and sent them home with us, I have never known anyone who could filet fish as fast and good as he could. Keep on fishing Marshall, Godspeed and fair winds.

I loved Marshall growing up - was like a favorite uncle to me! Sad to hear that he is gone, although I'm sure he and Dad are catching up on fishing stories right about now!

One day Marshall went fishing at Grapevine lake with my Dad and I back in the late 70s after i got on IFD, every time after that Dad always ask if that red headed guy was coming. Dad was in his late 70s then. I enjoyed working with Marshall at Central fire station. Prayers for his family.
