Martha Jane Keith Saatzer, loving mother and grandmother was called home to live with Our Lord on the 14th day of March, 2015. Martha was born in Ben Wheeler, Texas on the 2nd day of February, 1929 to Ervin and Willie Keith. Martha was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1948 where she was a member of the Red Hussars Drum and Bugle Corps. She retired from Preston Hearing Aid Center in 1999, spending the next five years in Nova Scotia, Canada, returning to Texas in 2004. Martha, a devout Catholic was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Her deep love for her family and unfailing faith was no more obvious than when she was preceded in death by her sons, Gary and Patrick Saatzer and her sister and brother-n-law Queva and Edward Gross. Martha's greatest joy was her family, who she leaves behind to cherish her always are her children; Edris and James Allen of Groves, Andra and Will Graham of Nederland, Terry and Cathy Saatzer of Groves and Carrie and Mike Wall of Tomball; grandchildren, Jason Hane, Gary Saatzer, Cody Graham, Desiree Badgett, Duane, Dana, Dawn, D'Anna and Dylan Saatzer, Courtney Mayfield, Dayne and Bryce Wall along with eleven great grandchildren. Martha loved life, found joy everywhere, and was truly loved by all who knew her. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday the 17th of March at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. With a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday the 18th of March, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
