Martha Vivian Delahoussaye

Martha Vivian Delahoussaye, 90, of Nederland, Texas passed away August 6, 2009. She was born in Hessmer, Louisiana on April 21, 1919 to the late Oliver J. and Blanche Chatelain Ponithieux. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, Altar Society, Keen Ayers and served on the Bereavement, Nursing Home Visitation, Communion Ministers Committees. Martha was named Mother of the Year in 1987.She was the loving mother of Clara Mae Delahoussaye Metcalf and husband James of Nederland, Texas and Judy Delahoussaye of Palm Bay, Florida cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren, 35 greatgrandchildren, and 18 greatgreatgrandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stanley Delahoussaye and 4 sons, Stanley, Lynn, Glynn Delahoussaye, and Laverne Roy.A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, August 7th, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8th, 2009, Father Tino Barrera celebrant.
