Marvin “El Campion” Calero, 46, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born in Managua, Nicaragua on April 23, 1972 to Fausto Calero and Aura Montano.
Those left to cherish Marvin’s memory are his wife, Daisy Estrella of Port Arthur; his parents, Fausto and Aura Montano of Managua, Nicaragua; his son, Marvin Antonio Calero; his daughter, Daisy Calero; his brothers, Luis, Juan, and Freddy Calero; and sisters, Alicia, Lesbia, Martha, Yelba, Janeth and Esther Calero; and a host of other loving nieces and nephews; and his God children, Adriana Hernandez, Pepito Hernandez, Yuneissie Rodriguez, Abril Gonzalez, and Edward and Angelica Jimenez. He is preceded in death by his sister, Francisca Calero.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home with Pasto Enrique Cabrera officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
