Marvin "Buddy" Davis

Marvin "Buddy" Davis, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur. Marvin was born August 23, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to Marvin Wallace Davis and Esther Cousins Davis. He was a lifelong area resident and member of Memorial Baptist Church. He retired after 41 years from Texaco as a Lab Technician, and he proudly served in the U. S. Navy from 1956-1958. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret A. Davis and his brother, Kenneth Davis. Survivors include his two daughters, Stacey Ebner and her husband John of Groves, Sharon Quesenberry and her husband Terry of Beaumont; one son, Steve Davis and his wife Emily of Orangefield; two brothers, Ray Davis and his wife Barbara of Port Neches, Donnie Davis and his wife Linda of DeRidder, LA; five grandchildren, Christopher Ebner, Steven Ebner, Brock Walker, Brittany Walker, and Bradley Davis; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Walker and Haven Ebner. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Oak Bluff Memoiral Park in Port Neches with Reverend Jeremy Bradshaw officiating.
