Mary Alice Clark, age 73, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2017. She was born on December 2, 1943 to James and Grace Summersgill in Port Arthur, Texas. Alice was an active member of the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur. She took joy in serving and caring for people, from the youngest in the church nursery, to the oldest in the nursing homes. She made her home and gardens beautiful and loved being there with her family. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Chester H. Clark, her son, Steven Clark and his wife Sharon, her son, Michael Clark and his wife Patty, her grandchildren, Joshua Clark, Rachel Clark, Deborah Clark, Matthew Clark and wife Kaleigh, and Christie Clark, and her sister, Betty Spurlock. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 5 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. The funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Levingston, followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur.
