Mary Jane Davis, 88, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Officiating will be Reverend Rob Jones. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Mary Jane was born in Kirbyville, Texas, on August 26, 1934, to Samuel Lee Lakey and Minnie Mae Myers-Lakey. She and her husband Hughie were married sixty-three wonderful years. She retired as the Secretary over the engineers at B.F. Goodrich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Max Davis; granddaughter, Jennifer Davis; great-granddaughter, Psalm Angel Onstott.

She is survived by her sons, Monte Preston Davis and wife Peggy of Port Neches, TX; Randall Hugh Davis and wife Jennifer of Port Arthur, TX; and Jeffery Lee Davis and wife DeAnna of Groves, TX; daughter, Lisa Kay Baker and husband Phil of Fayettville, TX; grandchildren, Josh and Tanya, Jana, Canaan and Mary Catherine, Cale and Kerrie, Ashley, Kelsey, Eric and Sabra, Ashlea and Brandon, Craig and Shelly, Jeremy and Jessica, Jordan, Jake, Callie, Luke, and Hannah; twenty-five great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was always the sweetest and most loving person to be around. She always was kind to everyone, and tried to help every person she could. What a legacy she left behind. I will miss seeing her big smile light up the room. I pray that God grants her eternal rest with him.

Mary Jane was a beautiful friend & I shall remember her for her laughter, smile & her friendship since 1964. My loving husband was an Engineer & worked with Mary Jane for 30 years. Oh, what beautiful memories I will hold in my Heart forever! I extend my heartfelt Prayers to her beautiful, lovely & caring four Children. God Bless the family through this time of Sorrow!
