Mary Cecil Domengeaux, born in Port Arthur, on January 28, 1939, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Mary dedicated her time and love to those she cherished most, her family and friends. Her warmth and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary was a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and Port Arthur College. Before moving to Carlyss, Louisiana, in 1979, she worked at Nacols Jewelers, and afterwards in St. Patrick’s hospital in Lake Charles, where she worked for many years to help patients and families navigate the complex rules of medical insurance as a financial counselor. She served as a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church of Port Acres and an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Lake Charles. She found great joy in camping with her husband Lee and their family, playing Canasta, and exploring new places through travel. A truly devoted grandmother, she was also admired for her Gumbo, Steak, rice and gravy, and other family favorites. Above all, she had a profound love for her family, always ready to listen and share her experiences and advice.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy Zemetis and her husband, Kevin; Donna Johnson and her husband, Kevin; and Darla Montgomery and her husband, Darell. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Brandi Domengeaux, Lori Roddy, Amber Knoll and her husband, Chad, Melissa Montgomery, Jamie Buller and her husband, Red, and Derek Montgomery. She was also blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Mary is further survived by her brothers, CS Randall and his wife, Gail, and Carl ( Peanut) Randall, Jr., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl F. and Pearl Randall; her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Henry Lee Domengeaux; her grandson, David Lee Foreman; and her brother, Hershel (Beautt) Randall.
A gathering to honor Mary will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 9:00 am to 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 10:00 am, all to be held at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
