Our beloved matriarch, Mary Ella Burns Andrews passed peacefully on February 2, 2026 at the age of 92. Born on April 15, 1933 to the late, Estelle Sprouse Burns and Bernard Franklin Burns, Sr., she was born and raised in Ennis, TX. Mary met and married the love of her life, Larry R. Andrews, in 1955. You could often find them “dancing on wheels” at the skating rink, they were a pleasure to watch together. They started their family in Beaumont, TX and had many wonderful years together. Mary worked and retired from Bealls Department Store.

She is survived by her children; Beverly Allen & husband Mark of Nederland, Karen Ives & husband Robert of Montgomery, and Kenny Andrews of Beaumont. Grandchildren; Justin Tullier of Houston and John Tullier and wife Dena of Vidor. Great-grandchildren; Trenton, Preslee, Eric & fiancé Jordan. Great-great-grandchild, Bradly. Sisters; Carol Shearer, Bonnie Campbell and husband David and Evelyn Matous and husband Stanley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Larry Andrews, her parents and four siblings: Frank Burns, Jack Burns, Larry Don Burns, and Jessie Lee Burns.

Services are being arranged by Melancon Levingston Funeral Home with a private family service at a future date.

The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Stonewood Hospice, and the wonderful ladies of Holland Place for their generous care in the last years of Mary’s life.
