I've been a brother-in-law to Mary Bonita Fontenot for 50 years, I often mentioned to her that I found her demeanor very unique, in a very good way! She was a loving person, she always made a special day for her children's birthdays!! Without fail, we could count on ALL birthdays having a large sheet cake with an abundance of "Red Kool aid". She was a very pleasant person, a good Catholic and a loving Mom to all her children! We will all miss her. She visited with all her family & friends on the phone and stayed in touch, even though she didn't drive anymore. I'm typing this memory out of respect to the entire Fontenot family, I've enjoyed being part of the family for more than 50 years. I just got home from the Rosary & viewing for Mary. The HUGE turnout of family & friends speaks volumes about her and Harry and the reputation they had in NISD!! Condolences & Prayers, Tommy & Sandra Bergeron

Mary, may God continue to hold you in His loving embrace, as I know He is right now. You shared your two beautiful children with me, and I will never forget this privilege. We were able to get together on teacher work days and goodness, did we have some fun, with you, of course, leading the way. As you look down upon us, protecting your love ones, please remember to include me, too, in your loving hugs again. Missing you now and always, Marie Redding
