Mary Kathryn Kringel Mitchell, 58, of Humble, Texas passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Mary Kathryn was born October 13, 1962 in Port Arthur, Texas to Roland Kringel and Janice Hamble Kringel. She was a resident of Humble for 25 years and was employed by Harris County Adult Probation as a probation officer.

Mary Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Roland Kringel.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Larry Mitchell of Humble; mother, Janice Kringel of Cypress; two daughters, Kathryn Mitchell and Lauren Mitchell both of Humble; sister, Robin Caldwell and husband Howard of Roundrock; two brothers, Michael Kringel and wife Becky of Cypress, and Kirk Kringel and wife Ema of Austin.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the3:00 p.m. graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Mary was the sweetest soul who was called home before any of us wanted to let her go. Mary had a way about her - the kind of woman you meet and felt so comfortable around. I met Mary in the mid 1990s through Larry, before she came over to the Department. You always felt accepted when Mary was around you - she had the sweetest way of doing so. Mary and I started at the north region together in May 2001 and we were cubicle mates. She was the sweetest, caring, most loving person you could ever meet. She could always make me laugh!!! Mary Mitchell was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. We worked together for almost 16 years and in the same unit for 7 years. She was always helpful to me and always with a smile, even when I interrupted her office visits to ask questions, she would just help me anyway. I will miss our talks, we still stayed in touch even though we worked in different units. Rest with the Lord Jesus in Heaven. I will miss you my friend...
