Mary Lou King, 98, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at her grandson’s residence in Orange.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Shane Weaver and Shawn Hall.

Visitation will be held prior to the services on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Orange.

Mary was born in Roganville, Texas on November 28, 1925. She was the daughter of Zora and Mae Hawthorne. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, of 74 years.

She is also survived by her three sons, and one daughter; Jim King and his wife Cory of Missouri City, Texas; Debbie Hall of Orange, Texas; Dale King and his wife Susan of Zebulon, NC and Gary King and his wife Pam of Kennard, Texas; her sister, Doris Ostrander of Denver, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
