Mary Ellen Lowe, 55, of Lake Arthur, Louisiana passed away on October 6, 2019. She was born in Beaumont on September 8, 1964 to Thomas Floyd Sparks and Ellen Diane Hymel Sparks. Mary Ellen liked to bake and cook. Her favorite channel to watch was the Food Network. She loved Halloween. Mary Ellen cherished her family especially the grandchildren which she spoiled a lot. She was an avid beach goer and seashell collector.

Those left to cherish Mary Ellen’s memory are her son, Aaron Lowe of Beaumont; her daughters, Erica Pink and her husband, Bradley of Nederland, Brittany Picard and her husband, Jacob of Groves, and Taylor Lockler and her husband, Joshua of Nederland; her parents, Thomas Floyd Sparks and Ellen Diane Hymel Sparks; her brother, Christopher Sparks of Huntsville; her grandmother, Jacqueline Hymel and her husband, Herbert; her grandchildren, Landen Picard, Alex Picard, Tristan Morales, Noah Lockler, and Penelope Lockler; and also she is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her and loved her. She is preceded in death by her uncles, Gardner Sterling and Thomas Boesch; cousin, Cody LaFleur; and her grandparents, Thomas Floyd Sparks, Sr. and Zora Mae Sparks.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to be held at 3:00 p.m.
