Mary Roy, 84, of Port Neches, Texas went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2021 on Mary and Louis’ 50th wedding anniversary. Mary was born in Tyler, Texas on April 15, 1937 to the late Roy Calhoun Barnett and Leah Irene Stuckey.
Mary loved traveling with her husband, shopping, visiting with friends, and going to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, LuLu and JoJo, laughing, gardening, and loved life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont, and was strong in her faith.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Glynn Roy; her parents; her daughters, Debbie Martin and Kimberly Hardesty; her brothers, John Barnett, Roy Barnett, and Jamie Barnett; and her sister, Iris Barnett.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her children, Robin Ellison and her husband Mark, Danny Condon, Jr. and his wife Louise, Jennifer Guidry and her husband Kent, and Jeff Roy and his wife Leah; her grandchildren, Jake Martin and his wife Kelley, Seth Martin, Amber Wilson and her husband Dusty, Haley Noel, Tyler Ellison and his wife Caitlyn, Jamie Melvin and her husband Terry, Tonya Hardesty, Jason Hardesty and his wife Angelina, Danielle Hardesty, Jeslyn Sabol and her husband Will, Janna Soler, Alex Condon, Lynn Condon, Drek Guidry and his wife Amber, Lindsay Davis and her husband Session, Brooke Chambless and her husband Clint, and Reid Guidry and his wife Evan; her brother, Billy Barnett; and numerous loving great-grandchildren, family and friends. She is also survived by her long-time, loving best friend, Danna Hasley and her husband Mike.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 9:00am - 11:00am with a funeral to follow at 11:00am. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
