Mary Louise Simon, 85, of Port Neches passed away October 17, 2019. She was born in Port Neches on February 9, 1934 to the late Dallas J. LeBlanc and Ouida M. Langlinais LeBlanc. Mary was a homemaker and a former church secretary for St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her daughters, Jamie Schexnaider of Port Neches and Carleen Simon of The Woodlands; her sisters, Shirley Griffith and her husband, David of Port Neches and Eva Frederick and her husband, Rusty of Port Neches; her brothers, Alex LeBlanc of Port Neches and James LeBlanc and his wife, Karen of Groves; 4 grandchildren, Kevin Schexnaider and his wife Cortnie, Kristen Schexnaider, Callie Keeney and her husband Austin, and Brad Gresham and his wife Mireya; and 8 great-grandchildren, Trent Greer, Kade Schexnaider, Kinley Schexnaider, Cadynce Elkins, Sophia Spitsnaugle, Casen Keeney, Olivia Gresham, and Cole Keeney. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Simon; and her daughter, Danette Gresham.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary being recited at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
