Mary “Kay” Talbot Thigpen, age 68, of LaBelle, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Kay was born August 16, 1949 in Port Neches, to the late Stanley and Mary McBride Talbot. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett.
Kay is survived by her husband, James Thigpen of LaBelle; her daughter, Maryanne LeBlanc and her husband, Lonnie of LaBelle; her son, Dustin Thigpen and his wife, Misty of LaBelle; sisters, Myrna McDonald of Newton and Linda Mason of Nederland; her brother, Jerry Talbot of Houston; also, her grandchildren, Logan, Cameron, Jaci, Canaan, Tyler, Tanner and Kenzie.
A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 with a gathering of the family and friends to follow from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres with Father Jim McClintock officiating.
