Mary Voight

Mary Voight, 96, of Groves, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2022, at her home. Officiating will be Chaplin Mike Anderson of Heart to Heart Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15,2022. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves

She was born in Salisbury, England, on March 5, 1926, she was the daughter of John Carpenter and Olive Mary (Foyle) Carpenter. Mary was a woman of great faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Groves. She was also a music teacher for a number of years. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Virgil Voight; her son, Mark Voight; and her granddaughter, Gretchen Voight.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Ranny Voight (Donna) of Clarkesville, Georgia, and Peter Voight (Charlyn) of Groves; her grandchildren, Robyn Lovett (Michael Travis), Mason Voight (Brandy), Spencer Voight (Ashton), Avery Voight, and Aidan Voight; her great-grandchildren, Annie Voight, Mitchell Voight, and Elliott Faye Voight; her niece, Cindy Voight; as well as her extended family, Adela and Everado Valencia, Everado Valencia Jr., Edgar Nunez, and Edith Nunez.
