Maureen Ann Moss LeBlanc

Maureen LeBlanc, of Village Mills, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Maureen was born in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Lou Ella Moss and Walter Moss Sr. on January 20, 1942. Maureen and her husband, Ray, lived in Groves, Texas the majority of their married life. There they raised 3 children. Maureen was a devoted mother to her children and homemaker for her family. She worked outside of the home in various positions and retired as a florist for Market Basket where she worked for many years. Maureen was a crafty person who enjoyed painting, wood crafts, embroidery, and making jewelry. She would take her items to the local flea markets, but making these special items for her family and friends was most important to her. Maureen was a member of a Po Ke No group, consisting of family and friends that lasted for 30 plus years. She loved going to the movies and eating out with her family. Maureen cherished her grandchildren. She and her husband would always be in the audience at school or sporting events. They would make sure to spend one day each week with their grandchildren as they were growing up. Taking them to the airport to have a picnic and watch the planes fly over or playing games will always be a special memory for the grandchildren.

Maureen is preceded in death by her parents and dear sister-in-law, Mary Granger. Those left to cherish Maureen’s Memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Ray LeBlanc Sr., of Village Mills; sons, Ray LeBlanc Jr. and Duane LeBlanc, both of Village Mills; daughter Dawn LeBlanc Stanley, and husband Randy of Village Mills; grandchildren, Kary LeBlanc, United States Army, Tristan Stanley, United States Air Force, Justan Stanley, United States Air Force, and Kirstan Stanley of Village Mills; one great grandchild, Gabriel LeBlanc; Siblings, Lana Patteson and husband CL of Lufkin, TX, Walter Moss Jr. and wife, Kim, of Oro Valley, AZ, Kent Moss Sr. and wife Nancy of Groves, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland, Texas on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

A Wonderful, loving christian, friend and lady! Maureen briefly touched my life when we met at Southwestern Bell, 39 years ago. Maureen's kindness deeply touched my life at a time much needed; what a wonderful legacy. I moved away the following year and lost touch but what i remember most of Maureen is her love for her husband Ray and her 3 beautiful children and a smile and sparkle in her eyes that would lite up the room! Dawn even Baby sat my son a couple of times went to the beach and Disney World with us, sweet memory. I was looking on line for my cousins passing and surprised to see my friend.
