Maurice Wayne Browning, 80, of Beaumont, Texas passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Maurice was born September 22, 1936 in Longview, Texas to Morris Browning and Alice Schmidt Browning Yarborough. He was a resident of this area for fifty-five years and was a retired Store Manager for Gibsons. Maurice was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a US Army Veteran. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Maurice is survived by his wife, Lois Browning of Beaumont, Texas; daughter, Joan Browning Grado and her husband Charles of Beaumont, Texas; son, Michael Wayne Browning and Marissa of Nederland, Texas; sister, Peggy Brannon and husband Les of Lavon, Texas; brother, James Browning of Lavon, Texas; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his best buddy, Kyser.

Lois, I will be forever greatful that God allowed our paths to cross in Market Basket just a few days before Maurice was to have the biopsy. You both looked so good and he was every bit the Maurice that we all loved. He is gone, but he will never be forgotten. Love and hugs to you.
