Maurice "Poochie" Norbert Little

Poochie Little, 70, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. He was born in Goosecreek, Texas on January 15, 1943 to the late Maurice Eldon and Laura Comeaux Little. Poochie served his country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Poochie loved fishing, dancing at Larrys French Market, and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He retired from Asos Workers Local 22, where he worked as an insulator most of his life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Bennie Patillo as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the ion of Melancons Funeral in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.Poochie is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, P. J. Arnaud and Richard Dickie Little. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Little of Port Neches daughters, Laura Snipes and husband, Brian of Groves and Denise Hooper Sappington and husband, Todd of Kingwood brother, Malcolm Arnaud of Port Acres stepsons, Jesse Fournet and wife, Dana of Port Neches, Corey Fournet of Austin, and Chris Fournet and wife, Lisa of Bridge City and 10 grandchildren.The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for the excellent care Poochie received. Special thanks to his lifelong friends for their support.The family is requesting memorials be given to Harbor Hospice, 2450 N. Major Dr., Beaumont, TX 77713.
