Maurine Joyce Green, 87, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Village Creek Rehab & Nursing Center in Lumberton, Texas. Maurine was born on August 10, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ernest Tilton Davis and Elizabeth Pamela Cain Davis. She was a resident of Groves for over 60 years and was a homemaker. She attended Groves First United Methodist Church. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Marty Boddie officiating. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Green; and her son, John Green, Jr. Survivors include her son, Mike Green and his wife Shelly of Groves; brother, Ernest Davis; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
