Maurine Juanita Moses of Groves, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughter and caretaker, April Adaway, at April's House of Angels on Thursday, March 3, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Loyd Moses; son Kenneth D. Spence of Groves, TX; daughter, Debbie Faust of Slidell, LA; five grandchildren, Keith Spence of Newton, TX, Sean Spence of Pasadena, TX, Chad Spence of Orlando, FL, Whitney Faust of Memphis, TN, Kelsey Faust of Baton Rouge, LA and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Louise Johnston of Nederland, TX, Rita Viera of Montgomery, TX and a brother George Simmons of DeRidder, LA. A gathering of friends and family will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Samuel T. Moses officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Maurine was a quilter and loved to fish and travel. We would like to give a special thanks to Harbor Hospice and the caregivers of April's House of Angels for the loving care given to Maurine.
