Mavourleen Shoefstall, 84, of Nederland, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Christus DuBuis Hospital in Port Arthur. She was born on August 31, 1929 in Frost, La. to the late Percy Irvin Bellue and Mabel Beatrice Stewart Bellue. She was a retired secretary.
She is survived by son: Ritchard Bean and wife Judy of Village Mills;, daughters: Connie Brast and husband Harold of Katy, Penny Ross of Houston; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; sisters, Lanell Brast and husband Eldon of Dallas, TX; Peggy Walker and husband Joe of Beaumont and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Shoefstall; son, Robert Bean; brothers James Bellue, Pete Bellue; sisters, Laverne Allen and Billie Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Melancon’s Funeral Home, with her son Rev. Ritchard Bean officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
