Max K. Savoie, 61, of Port Arthur passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas to Nathan Savoie, Sr. and Carolyn Savoie Mills. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Reverend Mildred Robinson will be officiating. Max was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Savoie Mills, sister, Cathrue Savoie Benoit and brother, Randy Savoie. He is survived by his father, Nathan Savoie, Sr. of Houston, brother, Nathan Savoie, Jr. of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

I will miss my dear cousin Max. He was always smiling and always happy to see family and friends. He was definitely a joy to be around. My prayers and gratitude go out to Dana who took such great care of Max and also to Nathan Jr... My heart goes out to you all --to Nathan Sr. and all the nieces and nephews. God bless this family. I remember Max as a sweet teenager whom I dated for some time , We were both very young . ( 8th or 9th grade)I remember his whole family was so nice . He was a family oriented person. I am so sorry he died. The world lost a wonderful person , But heaven gained an angel.
