Maximiliano "Max" Morel

Max Morel, 95, of Nederland, Texas passed away April 23, 2010 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born March 26, 1915 in Trinidad, Santa Barbara Honduras to the late Serapio and Juana Paz Morel. He served as a Merchant Marine during WWII.He was the loving father of Mario Morel of Orange, Belinda Rice and husband, Richard of Nederland, and Bertha Garza and husband, Mike of Orange devoted grandfather of Angela Garza, Jessica Lewis, Erica Arceneaux, Gus Garza, Jordan Rice, and Alyssa Rice greatgrandfather of Alex Arceneaux and Garrick Lewis brother of Amparo Casana and Candida Morel of Honduras brotherinlaw of Juanita Delgadillo of Port Arthur cousin to Juan and Conchita Morel of Oklahoma, Daisy and Melida of New Orleans, LA and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland Monday, April 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., Father T. R. Blanco, O. S. A. officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
