Maxine Ferrell

Maxine Ferrell, 94, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Collier Park Assisted Living in Beaumont, Texas. Maxine was born May 31, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to Henry and Willa Poore.
Maxine was a graduate of Port Neches High School and a member of the Ladies Home Demonstration Club. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Groves. Maxine loved traveling and taking photographs. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting artwork.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Willa Mae (Stanfield) Poore and Henry Grady Poore; spouse, Richard Ansel Ferrell; sisters, Mary L. Colby and Mavis Jobes.
Those left to cherish Maxine’s memory are her sons, Dennis Ferrell and wife, Lois of Orange, Texas; Mark Ferrell and his wife, Terry of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, David Ferrell, Amber Branecky and her husband, Chris; Sally Peveto and her husband, Josh; Amy Boullion and her husband, Cody; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Peveto, Mason Boullion, Kyndahl Peveto, Logan Boullion, Julia Branecky, Haden Boullion, Sloane Ferrell, Rhett Ferrell and Fiona Branecky.

Serving as Pallbearers include David Ferrell, Josh Peveto, Cody Boullion, Mason Boullion, Logan Boullion, Haden Boullion and Rhett Ferrell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Maxine’s Life to begin at 1:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
