Maxine Arnold Hatton, 94, of Beaumont, Texas left her earthly home to be with the lord on June 20, 2019. She was born on December 23, 1924, to Lolla Besse Godwin Arnold and Henry Clay Arnold Sr. and lived most of her childhood in Orange and Little Cypress, Texas.
In Maxine’s early teens, her family moved to Beaumont, Texas where she graduated from Beaumont High School in 1942. During WWII she lived in New York, New York and Los Angeles, California, and worked for Western Union. She returned to Beaumont in 1949. In February 1951, she married Zane Gerald Hatton, and resided in Beaumont until her death.
Maxine is survived by her son, Jerry Zane Hatton of Nederland, Texas; granddaughter, Yancey Zane Head, and her husband Patrick, of Beaumont, Texas; her Great grandchildren, Roberto Gabriel Chapa Jr., Presley Jean McFalls, Jonas Zane McFalls, Charlottle Rose Head, and Mary Ella Head; her brother Jim Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Zane Gerald Hatton; her parents Henry and Lolla Arnold; her siblings, Mary Chesson and her husband Gene, Bertha Arnold, Henry Arnold and his wife Jean, Mark Arnold, and William “Bill” Arnold.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on June, 29, 2019 from 10:00a.m. until 11:30a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 11:30a.m.
