Melanie Verline Dickerson Ghanim, 70, of Groves, Texas passed away, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 23, 1950 to Harold Oscar Dickerson, DDS and Doris Naomi Sheffield Dickerson.

Melanie had lived in Groves for over 60 years.

A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, February 19, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend Howard Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Melanie is survived by her three daughters, Deanna Hooker of Houston, Texas, Michelle Laririt of Port Arthur, Texas and Angeleque Hooker of Cleveland, Texas, son, Mohammed Ali Ghanim and wife Jessica of Groves, Texas and brother, Harold Oscar Dickerson, Jr. and wife Suzzanne of Anahuac, Texas, sixteen grandchildren, Jasmine, Gabrielle, Christina, Katrina, Hannah, Jesse, Brinley, C.J., Misty, Lacey, Bobby, Brittany, Isaiah, Celina, Eiza and Jr. and six great grandchildren, Julian, Michael, Delaney, Serenity, Tommy and Jayden.
