Melinda Marks, 61, of Nederland, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Melinda was born June 11, 1957 in Port Arthur to George and Katherine Flores. She was employed as a custodian with First Baptist Church in Nederland.
Melinda is survived by her parents, George and Katherine Flores of Nederland; her daughter, Katherine Marks of Nederland; her son, Derek Flores and his wife Erika of Nederland; her grandchildren, Julie and Adrian Flores of Nederland, and her brothers, Mike Flores of Port Neches, George Flores Jr. of Beaumont, and Gilbert Flores and his wife Betty of San Benito.
A gathering of the family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, with her Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Nederland with Reverend Dr. Jason Burden officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral in Nederland.
