Melquiades Barrientos

Melquiades Barrientos, 61, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at St Joseph Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Melquiades was born on June 11, 1960 to Margarita Carrillo Vacio and Candelario Barrientos Estupinan in Rio Grande Zacatecas, Mexico. He was a painter/sandblaster for Steel Painters for many years and was a member of the Catholic faith. Melquiades was a hard worker, beloved co-worker but was mainly known for his love of his family, especially his wife, children, grandchildren and other family members who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Salazar Monrreai Barrientos of Mexico; children, Margarita Barrientos, Violeta Barrientos, Jose C. Barrientos, Manuela de Jesus Barrientos, Rocio G. Barrientos, Esequiel Barrientos, Yanel Barrientos and Erick Barrientos; numerous grandchildren and other family members.

A Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be conducted in Mexico.
