Melvin Armond Comeaux, 76, of Beaumont, Texas passed away March 4, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Port Acres on November 11, 1936 to the late Henry and Lula Comeaux. Melvin lived in MidCounty, residing in Beauxart Gardens for 27 years. He retired from Mobil ChemicalOA after 28 years as a Safety Advisor.Melvin is preceded in death by his parents daughter, Melody Glover and brother, Henry Louis Comeaux. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Hazel Sloat Comeaux of Beaumont daughter, Terri Spaugh and husband, Dean of Boerne sons, Mark Comeaux and wife, Jodi of Boerne, Ronnie Pelt of Silsbee, Johnny Pelt of Silsbee, and Donnie Pelt of Warren brothers, Charles Comeaux and wife, Joyce of Nederland, and Howard Comeaux and wife, of Eileen of Palmdale, CA 15 grandchildren 9 greatgrandchildren and his old dog Rags, who he traveled, played, and ate alongside.Melvins only request is that his ashes be scattered on the Pecos River in West Texas which will take place at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.
