Wow! I just noticed that Melvin "Ed" almost made it to the age of 100 years. What a wonderful long life. You and your wife, Virginia, must have been very special people to have been so treasured as friends of my parents, Rex and Ruth Vaughan. I just had to add this comment. It is hard to lose such great people, but what a legacy they leave.

I am so sorry to find this news of Melvin "Ed" Sangwin's passing. Both Melvin and Virginia Sangwin were cherished friends of my parents, Rex and Ruth Vaughan. They had cherished memories of Melvin and Virginia from times shared when they all attended North End Baptist Church on Lewis Drive. I really appreciated Melvin's effort made to attend by Dad's memorial service at Greenlawn Memorial Park back in October of 2014. It was very comforting to see him there with his children. My deepest condolences go to his wonderful children, grandchildren, and close friends. RIP Melvin and Virginia!
