Mercedes Barbosa, of Beaumont, passed away September 29, 2015. She was born January 31, 1922 to the late Estaislado Jinez and Simona Alamida.
Mercedes is survived by her daughters, Lydia Barbosa Ramirez and husband, George of Beaumont, Yolanda Barbosa Daigle and husband Paul of Lumberton; grandchildren, Jay Ramirez, Ronnie Ramirez, Troy Daigle, Shannon Lloyd; Great-grandchildren, Abigail Ramirez, Aaron Ramirez, Christopher Ramirez, Jacqueline Ramirez, Chelsey Daigle, Kirsty Daigle, Ambri Lloyd, Addison Lloyd and Remi Lloyd; sisters, Henrietta Trevino of Groves and Mary Silva of Katy, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy Barbosa.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a time of sharing at 6 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 4, 2015, at 2 p.m., also at Melancon’s Funeral Home.
