Mercedes Thompson Cholette, 93, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 11, 1926 in Port Arthur, Texas to Willie E. Thompson and Ellen Henry Thompson. Mercedes had lived in Port Neches before moving to The Woodlands twenty eight years ago. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Altar Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with burial to follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be before the service on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Mercedes is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Cholette Godkin and husband Glenn of The Woodlands, Texas, son, Bob Cholette and wife, Janet of Nederland, Texas, sister, Mirley Thompson Trahan of Warren, Texas, three grandchildren, Gregory Godkin and wife Alyson Eberle, Angie Cholette Stelly and husband Darrell, and Molly Cholette Anders and husband Doug, and seven great grandchildren, Riley, Avery, Abby, Arley, Roman, Carson and Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Paul Cholette. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to: St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall, Port Neches, Texas 77651.

We are so sorry for your loss - she was a beautiful person - our Prayers are with the family. Earl worked with and rode to Gulf with Bob in a carpool. A very fine family.
