Mercer John Nessour

Mercer John Nessour, Sr., 83, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away quietly March 25, 2009 with his family by his side. Mercer was born in Port Arthur on April 13, 1925 to the late Mitchel and Susie Corales Nessour. He was a tanker man for Sabine Towing. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.He was the loving husband of Marcy Saldana Nessour of Port Arthur cherished father of Mercer John Nessour, Jr. of Port Neches, Frank Paim Nessour of Groves, and Melanie Brodeur of Port Arthur cherished brother of Anna Mae, Gloria, and Betty and beloved grandfather of five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents brother, Wilburn Nessour and twin sister, Mercedes Duncan.A gathering of family and friends for a rosary will be 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27th followed by visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Fr. Stephen McCrate officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur.
