Meredith "Merry" Haley, 95, of Port Neches, Texas died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Merry was born May 1, 1916 in Merryville, Louisiana to Robert E. Lee Walling and Stella Duffel Walling. She was a retired Manager of Ladies Apparel at Sears & Roebuck and a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. Cliff Rucker officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from Noon until service time on Friday, January 13, 2012. She is survived by sons, Thomas (Tommy) Evans and wife Linda of The Woodlands, Texas; William (Bill) Evans and wife Jenny of Merryville, Louisiana; step-daughters, Therese Snyder of Goshen, Indiana; Billie Vance and husband Frank of Colmesneil, Texas; Judy Smith of Crocket, Texas; step-son, Walter Haley and wife Chipper of Nederland, Texas and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Merrie was a delightful lady and I will miss her. I made many a sour cream cake for her and was going to make one this morn, when a friend told me she had died. So very sorry I didn't know. May you remember the wonderful times you shared!

I'll be praying for the family and friends of Ms Meredith. I delivered meals to her the last few months on Fridays. Very sweet lady. Im sorry for your loss.

Our dear grandmother lived a full life with a great love for her family. She has been a great friend and grandmother for 50 yrs. to me. I will miss her, but have great memories that will last forever. Love you MoMo
