Michael Wayne Davis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Davis, who departed this life on September 15, 2026, in Groves, Texas. Michael was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Michael was a proud graduate of Nederland High School. Throughout his life, he was a self-employed carpenter, a profession he not only excelled at but genuinely enjoyed. His skillful hands and dedication to his craft were evident in every project he undertook.

Beyond his professional life, Michael found immense joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment by the water. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will be held dear by his loved ones.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Janice Davis, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He leaves behind his two beloved sons, Brian Davis, Aaron and wife Keaton Davis, who were a source of immense pride. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren, Hannah, Izakk, Emilee, Ryann, and Luke, and his two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Ivy, with another great-grandchild on the way Asher, all of whom brought great joy to his life. He is also survived by his brother, Randy and wife Chris Davis.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bettie Davis, and his sisters, Paula Adaway and Phyllis Theriot. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of his kindness, his dedication to his work, his love for fishing, and his unwavering commitment to his family will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
