Michael Wayne Therrien, 65

February 28, 1961 – June 14, 2026

Nederland, Texas

Michael was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts and went to school to be a sonar tech in the United States Navy. He eventually moved to southeast Texas after traveling the country and was involved in politics and the local art community as well as long term activism for LGBT rights. He touched many lives especially among those considered part of his "tribe". He is survived by his husband, Terry Michael Nepveux.

Memorial gathering to be held at Calder Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas at 1:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
