Mildred Gran Chandler, 83, of Nederland, Texas passed away January 9, 2013 at Serenity House in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on June 7, 1929 in Clarksville County, Texas to the late Arthur and Arel Shows Reed. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiating. Interment will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.Mildred is preceded in death by her parents 1 sister and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband, W. B. Chandler of Nederland her sons, Mark Chandler and wife, Diana of Nederland, and Ben Chandler of Nederland her daughter, Peggy Day and husband, Steve of Kirbyville 5 grandchildren, Deanna Day, Briana Chandler, Jordan Chandler, Zachary Chandler, and Abbie Chandler 1 brother and 2 sisters.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting to give memorials to the charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear about your mom passing. Peggy, I remember so well all those overnight events...your mom was just like one of the gang.I am sure you will miss that special laugh she gave so freely.
