Mrs. Curtis was my 5th grade teacher at Hillcrest Elementary. I remember her smile. Beautiful lady. We learned square dancing & had red, white & blue outfits that were handmade. We performed at the Nederland Heritage Festival. She was always a kind & loving teacher. I know she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Curtis was my choir teacher in elementary school at Helena Park, in the 60's. She always made our choir class a fun place to be. We also lived in the same neighborhood during those years, and I have fond memories of playing at her home with her children. I am so sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed.

Mrs. Curtis was my 5th grade teacher at Hillcrest. I truly loved her. She was the reason I chose Elementary Education as my major at Lamar University. That was how much of an impact she made on me. Sadly my career went a different route but even in this banking career I used her influence in teaching all the associates along the way. Mrs. Curtis was the sweetest teacher and always had a smile on her face. She made learning fun! Prayers for all of her loved ones.

So sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Mrs. Cutis taught me when I was in fifth grade, and then I taught with her at Hillcrest. She always had a smile on her face and was so helpful to me. She would always ask about James and told me she was praying for him. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for God’s peace and comfort for her family. ❤️🙏🏻
