Myrtle Grace Bordonaro, 96, a resident of McKinney, Texas for 11 years, and formerly of Port Arthur and Groves, Texas for 85 years, died peacefully on July 4th, 2018. She was born January 20, 1922, in Port Arthur, TX to Joseph Salvaggio and Francis Inzerello Salvaggio. Myrtle graduated from St. Mary's High School and Port Arthur Business College. On June 20, 1943, she married the love of her life, Nicholas Joseph Bordonaro at St James Catholic Church. Myrtle was a member of St James Catholic Church. She is survived by her only son, Michael Bordonaro and wife Em of Fairview, Texas, granddaughter Kristin Batchelor and husband Chris of Wylie, Texas, step- granddaughters Staci McGuire and husband Rick of Liberty, TX, and Holli Sims and husband Curtis of Fulshear, TX. Myrtle was known as "GG" to great-grandchildren, Declan and Kahlan Batchelor, and Joe and Emma Sims. Also survived by her sister-in-law Rose Salvaggio, nephews Danny Salvaggio and wife Janet, and Greg Salvaggio and wife Linda, niece Kristy Anders and husband Doug. Also numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Nick, her parents, daughter-in-law JoAnn Bordonaro, grandson Moses Bordonaro and her brother Gregory Salvaggio. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, TX followed by the Memorial Celebration at 2:00 p.m. with her son, Michael Bordonaro conducting the service.
