Myrtle Jane Day
Myrtle Jane Day, 85, of Groves, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2022, at her residence in Groves.
A private ceremony and burial will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022.
She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 29, 1937. She was the daughter of Fredie Giroir and Jane Pomier Giroir. She was married to Charles Richard “Jack” Day. She was a homemaker in the home she owned.
She was preceded in death by her brother Harry Giroir.
She is survived by her spouse, Charles Richard “Jack” Day of Groves; daughters, Jackie Riddle of Port Neches; Ruth Ann “Poppy” Johnston and husband David of Cypress; Susan Ortiz and husband Raymond of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Johnston, Aaron Johnston and wife Caitlin; Lauren Habrock and husband Tyler; Barrett Riddle and fiancé Jessica Gryder; Shelby Staples, and Joshua Staples; four great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Rascoe; longtime caregiver, Elizabeth Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
