Nada Jean Welch, of Nederland, Texas passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Nada Jean was born April 28, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Wilfred and Ora Rogers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland and a devout wife, mother, and grandmother. Nada Jean loved to dance and was an outgoing social butterfly. She enjoyed sewing and morning coffee with the breakfast club.
Nada Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Rogers and Ora Whittington Rogers; husband, Bill Welch and 11 siblings.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Victoria Huff and her husband, Billy of Fort Smith, AR; son, Kirby Welch and his wife, Angela of Chandler, TX; grandchildren, Amber Larson, Brandy White, Tiffany Reed and Corey Costello; and 5 great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to begin 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
