Nadine Searcy McClelland, 84, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 16, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX, Hurricane Harvey prompted her move to Waxahachie, TX, in 2017 to live near her children’s families.
She was born on December 13, 1937, to James and Gussie (Stuckey) Searcy, and received all her education in Port Arthur Schools, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956.
Nadine was very involved throughout her children’s school years in PTA and their extracurricular activities. She was bookkeeper for the family business, Ronnie's Auto & Paint Supply Co. on Gulfway Drive, until she and Ronnie retired in 1991. One of her greatest joys was working on her (and Ronnie’s) class reunions.

She served on the Finance Committee and several other committees throughout the years, as well as being a church Teller, and enjoyed volunteering during Vacation Bible School.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Ann (McClelland) Schneider and husband John, of Waxahachie, TX, son Michael Ray McClelland, Sr. and wife Amy, twin grandchildren Michela Laura McClelland and Michael Ray McClelland Jr., of Waxahachie, TX, and brother-in-law Capt.
