Nancy Marie Blount, 91, of Port Neches passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Pelican Bay in Beaumont, Texas.

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 16, 1930 to James Britten and Edith Louise Follett Britten.

Nancy was a lifelong area resident and member of Southside Baptist Church of Port Neches.

The family will have a private funeral service with burial to follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Zelman Jesse Blount.

She is survived by her three sons, Ronnie J. Blount and wife Mary of Lumberton, Texas, Roger Blount of Mauriceville, Texas and Larry Blount and wife Fran of Port Neches, Texas, daughter, Edith Louise Austin and husband Buster of Clear lake , Texas, sister, Natalie Louise Merryman of Seguin, Texas, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
