Nancy Lou Holbrook Hammonds, 66, of Vidor, Texas passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Nancy was born November 12, 1950 in San Marcos, Texas to Norman Lee Holbrook and Mary Helen Abernanthy Holbrook. She was a 40 year resident of Vidor, Texas and a retired Mail Clerk with Texas Department of Health and Human Services. Nancy was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Bluff Memorial Park with Dr. Stephen Dollar officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home Port Neches. Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Frank Hammonds, Jr. and her brother, Edward Bustin. Surviving relatives include her husband, Frank Hammonds of Vidor, Texas; daughters, Rachael Dawn Jacobs and husband Kevin of Shelbyville, Texas; Brandi Mae Johnson of Vidor, Texas; sisters, Norma Lee Blankenship of Vidor, Texas; Hazel Goodman and husband Jesse of Mauriceville, Texas; grandchildren, Sierra Jacobs, Samuel Johnson, Kalie Johnson, and Luke Johnson.

I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing...I went to school with Nancy and her sister and remember her as such a sweet person. I pray that God will comfort her family in this difficult time of grief.

My sincere condolences go out to Frank and the girls. I had the pleasure of going to school with Nancy and working with her at the Health and Human Sevices. She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be greatly missed. Heaven gained another angel!
